At Site Summit 2026 at George Brown Waterfront Campus in Toronto, ZS2 joined BFL CANADA to explore how material selection is increasingly influencing insurance outcomes, risk assessment, and long-term rebuilding costs.
Scott Jenkins and Akeem Robin presented Materials 101: How Material Choice Is Rewriting Insurance, Risk & Rebuild Costs, highlighting the growing connection between resilient building materials and insurability. The session examined how real-world building performance is reshaping expectations across both the construction and insurance sectors. Through discussions on innovation, risk mitigation, and resilience, ZS2 reinforced the role of magnesium cement-based building systems in supporting a more durable and predictable built environment. We were proud to contribute to this important industry conversation and help advance the dialogue between construction, resilience, and insurance.
