Features
Structure, interior and exterior sheathing and insulation all in one makes for rapid building construction. We’ve built rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures into our manufacturing processes to ensure streamlined delivery from production to construction. This ensures that our building materials undergo rigorous assessments to guarantee enhanced durability, resilience, and long-term performance in diverse environmental conditions. This proactive approach minimizes the risk of failures, enhances safety, and protects the investments made in construction projects.
Our team proudly collaborates with QAI Laboratories (QAI) for testing, certification, and Code Evaluation Reports for ZS2 building products. From inspecting our manufacturing equipment to batch testing our TechBoard before panel assembly, QAI acts as an independent third-party testing, inspection and certification organization to ensure transparency at every step of the process.
QAI’s certification mark is recognized with building officials throughout North America including the CCMC, the Florida Building Commission, Miami-Dade County, Los Angeles City Building Department, California State Fire Marshal, and others. This ensures all ZS2 products that arrive on site meet and exceed project requirements.

TechPanel FAQ
Structural insulated panels, like TechPanels, are high performance prefabricated building panels used in walls, roofs and floors for residential, commercial, industrial and agriculture buildings. The panels are manufactured by sandwiching a rigid core of insulating material between two high strength facings, and then adding a structural spline made from lumber or metal. TechPanels can be custom designed for a wide variety of projects and provide an extremely strong, energy efficient, cost effective, sustainable, and rapid building system.
ZS2 TechPanels integrate our proprietary TechBoard™ which is a magnesium-based cement boar. TechBoard is a high-performance, sheathing material with significant benefits versus conventional construction materials such as oriented strand board (OSB). Unlike traditional SIPs, TechPanels are highly fire resistant, are not damaged by water, are mold and pest resistant, and are more than strong enough for hurricane and seismic zones.
Traditional SIP construction is recognized by the International Code Council body of building codes, which are used by most jurisdictions in the U.S. and Canada. For residential buildings, SIP wall systems are included in Section R614 of the 2009 International Residential Code. With the incorporation of TechBoard, ZS2 TechPanels generally exceed all performance attributes of traditional SIPs with the added fire protection and resiliency against water and wind. ZS2 has conducted extensive third-party testing on TechBoard and TechPanels partnering with Intertek, QAI Laboratories, Simon Fraser University and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. The team at ZS2 ensures all projects are reviewed, signed off and stamped by a local accredited engineer, and meets all building regulations ahead of production.
