Environmental Product Declaration completed for ZS2 TechPanels
October 13, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta – ZS2 Technologies, Canada’s leading sustainable building materials developer and manufacturer, achieved an Environmental Products Declaration with a 70 per cent reduction in CO2 when compared to traditional tilt up concrete construction.
A global leader in independent, third party environmental and sustainability verification—provided the full Lifecycle Analysis for ZS2 TechPanels, and they are now included in a Certified Green Products Guide.
“The verification of our lifecycle analysis confirms that not only are TechPanel buildings more sustainable over their lifetime, but they are also sustainable to manufacture, transport, and build with,” says Doug Brown, CTO at ZS2 Technologies. “This is one more step in our commitment to providing full transparency and third-party verification of all sustainability claims we make for ZS2 products, so our customers can have total confidence that they are truly making a sustainable difference through their building decisions.”
TechPanels are a pre-manufactured structural insulated panel (SIP) building system that incorporates ZS2’s proprietary TechBoard—a magnesium oxysulfate board that is low carbon and highly fire, water, bacteria and mold resistant. TechPanel building envelopes are built three times faster than traditional construction methods and consume half the energy on average than a typical building.
