Scott Jenkins
Co-founder and CEO
Scott blends unmatched business acumen with a true passion for finding ways to build a better planet. The only person who will be more excited about your project than you are, is Scott.

Doug Brown
Co-founder and CTO
For Doug, there’s always a way to improve something, or an idea that hasn’t been fully realized. That’s why he leads our R&D team and is the engine behind finding ways to help our customers build smarter.
Dr. Doug’s experience includes:
- Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry from the University of Calgary
- B.Sc. In Chemistry from McGill University
- Previously VP of R&D for MgO Systems Ltd.

Kristin Davis

Every great company needs a Kristin. When something needs to get done, a problem solved, or an idea nurtured, she’s the one to turn to. Kristin keeps all our ideas on track, and makes sure concepts become reality.

Joel Douglas
CFO
Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst, and nearly 20 years of leadership, accounting/finance and capital markets experience. What does that mean for ZS2? It means he keeps us out of trouble. His unique ability to indulge high-flying ideas while keeping us on firm financial ground is invaluable.

Amy Roesler
Chair of the Board
Amy Roesler has 25 years of senior corporate, utility, energy and infrastructure expertise centered on business transformation and technology-driven strategy and execution for organizations such as Infrastructure Ontario, CLEAResult, Natural Law Energy, BC Hydro and Canadian Pacific Railway. Her domain expertise spans sustainability, energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and climate change mitigation and adaptation. She also serves on the board of the Alberta Energy Efficiency Alliance, working with utility, corporate, government and not-for-profit members to advance energy efficiency and emissions reduction policy and programming.
Dave Richardson
Board Member
Dave Richardson is an experienced inventor, executive, entrepreneur, investor and founder of multiple innovative technology companies. He is the President and CEO of Octaform Systems Inc., which designs and markets a patented stay-in-place concrete forming system that offers benefits that no conventional forming system can equal, by reducing energy consumption and extending the longevity of concrete structures.
Peter Myers
Board Member
Peter Myers spent over 20 years with BMO Financial Group, which is the eighth largest bank in North America. He most recently served as Vice Chair, Global Investment and Corporate Banking as well as Chair of the Board of Nesbitt Burns Inc., the registered dealer of the bank. Previously, he was Global head of Investment and Corporate Banking based in New York, Head of US Investment and Corporate Banking based in Chicago and Head of Canada and International Investment and Corporate Banking based in Toronto. He started at BMO as Head of Equity Capital Markets.
Derek Payne
Board Member
Derek Payne is a seasoned financial executive, advisor and board member and is currently a board member of Jostle, a Vancouver based technology company, board member at Highstreet Income Properties, strategic advisor to Neurara, a healthcare technology company and Strategic Advisor for InterGen Capital which includes a role as their Board Observer for fintech company ZayZoon. He is the former Chief Financial Officer of DIRTT Environmental Solutions and Treasurer and Vice President Finance at WestJet.
James Maxim
Board Member
James Maxim is an experienced professional in international trade, oil and gas exploration and government relations with First Nations negotiations and environmental matters. Prior to an extensive career working with multiple levels of government on numerous high-level projects including the Interchange Canada Agreement and First Nations land claims negotiations. He was an experienced energy industry executive with nearly four decades in diverse roles.
Matthew Grieve
Board Member
Matthew Grieve is the President of Maggnum Ventures Inc., a private investment and development firm located in Calgary, Alberta. He started his career in real estate with Oxford Property Group and WestCorp Construction before founding Maggnum Ventures Inc. Maggnum has a diverse portfolio of investments spanning commercial & residential real estate, hospitality & entertainment, technology and financial services throughout Canada.
David Mears
Board Member
David Mears is the Executive Director of Platform Strategic Capital and has over 25 years of experience in finance and business development working with start-up enterprises in the petroleum, media, and specialty agriculture sectors throughout Europe, North and Latin America. He is a former Founder and CEO of numerous public companies and with his UK-based team at Platform Strategic Capital focus their strategic expertise and capital towards early-stage companies with significant growth opportunities.
Research & Technical
You can find ZS2’s R&D team in the lab, on the floor of our manufacturing center or giving material science 101 lessons. This team is armed with multidisciplinary skillsets and expertise, ranging from structural and mechanical engineers to Ph.D. chemists. From breakthroughs in materials science to pushing the boundaries of climate technology, this team turns ideas into reality.
